Rare cars abandoned by owners

Sometimes exclusive and expensive machines can become unnecessary, some owners of these machines just forget about them.

The "muscle car" – 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona. The story goes that this particular Dodge in the 70s was bought by the judge from Alabama as a gift to his wife. What adventures befell this car – the riddle, but found a “Daytona” in 2015 in the same state and in this form, as in the photo.
Daytona was a special version of "the Charger" and numbered to 503 instance. This car had an engine capacity of seven liters and has become a legend in the NASCAR racing circuit.
Now Dodge was on the list of lots Mecum auction house with a starting price tag of 150 thousand dollars. In the catalogue of lots is good condition motor this machine and, of course, the presence of proprietary traits – a giant wing on the back.

Very rare – 1937 Bugatti Type 57S Atalante Coupe. Initially stunning Bugatti 1930-ies belonged to Earl Howe – at the time President of the British club racers. Subsequently, car have changed several owners, until they reached the garage of Harold Carr in Newcastle, UK.
At the last owner coupe – one of only seventeen produced – were kept since the 60's. the car was found Abandoned in 2007.
Atalante version differed from the other members of the family 57S aluminum body panels and one-piece windshield (no partitions). This particular car is preserved in as close as possible to the original condition, in 2009, was sold at auction by Bonhams for $ 4.4 million.

The newest – 1978 Chevrolet Corvette. The history of this “Chevy" from the very beginning was like future bornfind – in 1978, when Corvette celebrated its 25th anniversary in the photograph the machine was chosen as the safety car for the Indy 500 race.
An American, sensing a potential collector's car (it was even printed on the covers of some magazines), bought a coupe in the same year as investments and left for storage in the garage.
In 1995 the owner of a two door moved from a private home in the apartment and the car, for lack of a garage, just parked on the street. Only in 2011 his comrade bad Schoenleben staged car storage to specialized dealer, where the Corvette is still.
Special car preserved in completely original condition – factory even the tires and the battery. However, it is not surprising – on the odometer is only 13 miles.

The oldest – 1925 Bugatti Type 13 Brescia. In 2014 in an abandoned manor in the West of France was found stunning collection of the Mogul Roger Bayonne – about 100 vintage cars. Among them was the Bugatti Brescia 1925 release.
Roadster “Bugatti” was in the collection of Bayona since 1953 and, in spite of the poor state of the garage at the time of the findings, preserved in good condition.
This car was put up for sale by French auction house Artcurial – last year a rare "Brescia" bought for 830 thousand euros.

The most expensive – 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spider . Another finding in the collection of Baiona. In all there were 37 instances of the model Ferrari and everyone got a three-liter V12 engine with three carburetors.
On account of the family of the legendary 250-x "Ferrari" are generally many record labels and found California Spider is no exception – last year at the Retromobile auction by an unnamed collector laid out for her 18.5 million dollars.

The most unexpected – 1963 Chevrolet Corvette. Nor shed, nor even any roof over their heads – in such circumstances, this Corvette 1963 release spent about 35 years of his life.
